New Release Offers 'Day One' Delivery
Baydon Solutions today launched the latest version (4.2.1) of the Assistware Connector Toolkit incorporating the Assistware Connector, Assistware Bubble and Assistware Server components.

Amongst the new features provided by 4.2.1 are significant user interface enhancements, ‘own brand’ capability and advanced features for secure integration with third party content creation tools, content repositories and databases.

Of particular significance, says Jim Maher, Sales Director of Baydon Solutions, is the release of our ‘Secondary Search’ mechanism, enabling the provision of ‘day one’ delivery of support and learning materials to the user’s desktop.

This feature alleviates the requirement for authors to make connections between the IT predicaments and the learning and support content needed to service such predicaments. The Secondary Search does this by automatically determining the user’s context from configurable metadata, gathered from the IT application in use and then combining this context with the user’s profile. It then delivers precise support and learning materials to users while they work.

The Secondary Search ‘day one’ delivery capability augments Assistware’s core offering and improves the ROI by increasing the rollout speed of the Assistware ‘workflow based’ content delivery capability. For organizations assembling both structured and unstructured content using a variety of CMS, LCMS, databases and specialist tools, this ‘day one’ capability will bring significant added value.
