Key milestone in Baydon Solutions technology offerings
Baydon has successfully launched the latest versions of its Assistware Connector and Assistware Bubble technologies. The Assistware Connector V 4.1 launch, completes the final stages in the separation of Baydon’s content management offering from its knowledge delivery technology.

At the launch Stephen Grant, CTO of Baydon Solutions, described the open architecture of the Assistware Connector and its ability to deliver content from any customer’s content collection or any vendor’s content management system (CMS). ‘Baydon’s customers’, he said, ‘are now in a position to use the Assistware delivery technology either with their own content collection or content from a preferred CMS vendor’. The technology has already been verified with a range of leading CMS offerings.

The latest Assistware Bubble (V 4.1), which was also released at the launch, is Baydon’s user interface for activating a user’s request for information, training or support, at their moment of need. When invoked by a user from the system tray, the Assistware Bubble can immediately assess the user’s activity within their application and deliver content based on that assessment. The result is instant delivery of content that exactly meets the users need, without recourse to search engines or needless browsing. The Assistware Connector is a stand-alone toolset used by non-technical users, to teach the Bubble to recognize what Grant terms ‘user predicaments’ within ‘any’ IT application and in turn the precise content to be delivered to the user.

‘When in trouble …. Drop the Bubble’ is the Baydon slogan and Grant described how Baydon’s clients had reaped dramatic business benefits by promoting this ‘moment of need’ approach to supporting end-users’ performance on the job.
